This Afternoon: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Some
of the storms could produce gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent
lightning. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. South wind around 11 mph.
Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a half and
three quarters of an inch possible.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 11pm, then a chance of
showers. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds, heavy rain, and
frequent lightning. Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with
a low around 73. Southwest wind between 3 and 8 mph. Chance of
precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three
quarters of an inch possible.

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO OUR REGION LATER THIS AFTERNOON, THEN
TEND TO STALL NEAR THE COAST TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. HURRICANE IRENE
WILL THEN MOVE NORTHWARD DURING THE WEEKEND, HOWEVER HOW CLOSE TO
THE COAST CARRIES SOME UNCERTAINTY. THE STORM IS FORECAST TO EXIT TO
OUR NORTH AND NORTHEAST LATER SUNDAY WITH A FRONTAL BOUNDARY
SHIFTING TO OUR EAST INTO MONDAY. A STRENGTHENING AREA OF HIGH
PRESSURE GENERALLY BUILDS IN FOR TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.
