ADJUSTMENTS to the ATHOS 1 Safety Zone

THE CAPTAIN OF THE PORT PHILADELPHIA IS CONTINUING ENFORCEMENT OF A
SAFETY ZONE WITHIN THE DELAWARE RIVER FROM THE TACONY PALYMRA BRIDGE TO
THE MARCUS HOOK/BELLEVUE RANGE INTERSECTION. THE FOLLOWING ADJUSTMENTS
HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE PRE-EXISTING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SAFETY ZONE:


1. THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS REMAIN IN PLACE FROM THE TACONY
PALMYRA BRIDGE TO THE MARCUS HOOK/BELLEVUE RANGE INTERSECTION

ON THE DELAWARE RIVER AND ITS TRIBUTARIES:

· A MINIMUM WAKE ZONE WILL BE IN EFFECT AND ENFORCED

WITHIN THE SAFETY ZONE.

2. THE MANTUA CREEK ANCHORAGE FROM THE YELLOW “ALPHA” BUOY TO THE

LOWER END IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

3. EFFECTIVE AT SUNRISE ON DECEMBER 11, 2004 RECREATIONAL BOATING
IS ALLOWED WITHIN THE SAFETY ZONE. THE CAPTAIN OF THE PORT DISCOURAGES
ALL
LOITERING OR SIGHTSEEING BOATING THAT COULD INTERFERE WITH ON GOING OIL
SPILL RESPONSE OPERATIONS THROUGHTOUT THE SAFETY ZONE.
