...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 AM

EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, dense fog will reduce

  visibility to 1 NM or less. For the Small Craft Advisory, south

  winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and seas 3 to 5 ft

  expected.

* WHERE...Coastal waters from Cape May NJ to Cape Henlopen DE

  out 20 nm and Coastal waters from Cape Henlopen to Fenwick

  Island DE out 20 nm.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 6 PM EDT this

  evening. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 10 PM this evening

  to 7 AM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Low

  visibility will make navigation difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller

vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog

signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use

your radar and compass.

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

A backdoor cold front will stall across our region early this

morning. It will slowly lift back northeast out of the area later

today before a stronger cold front moves in from the northwest later

on Thursday. Canadian high pressure will then begin to build over

the region Friday and dominate into next week.

S winds 5 to 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt with gusts

up to 20 kt this afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 ft. S swell 2 to 3 ft at

5 seconds. Widespread dense fog. Vsby 1 NM or less.

TONIGHT

S winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to

4 ft. S swell 2 to 4 ft at 5 seconds. Areas of fog. Vsby 1 to

3 NM.

THU

S winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to

4 ft. S swell 2 to 4 ft at 5 seconds. Areas of fog in the

morning. A chance of showers in the afternoon. Vsby 1 to 3 NM in

the morning.

THU NIGHT

W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, becoming

NW 5 to 10 kt after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 ft. S swell 2 to 3 ft

at 4 seconds, becoming W at 4 seconds after midnight. Showers

with a chance of tstms in the evening, then showers likely after

midnight.

NW winds around 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. NE swell around

2 ft at 4 seconds. A chance of showers.

W winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming N with gusts up to

20 kt after midnight. Seas 2 to 3 ft. E swell around 2 ft at
