ICE CONDITION II
(Restrictions in the C & D Canal And North of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge)

Due to the current ice conditions in Captain of the Port Philadelphia's
area of responsibility, the following restrictions have been imposed:

* Only vessels that are steel hulled and have a minimum of
3000 shaft horsepower may transit the C and D Canal.
* Only steel hulled vessels may transit north of the Tacony-
Palmyra Bridge, and these transits are limited to daylight only hours.

This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life and property on
navigable waters. Mariners are advised to transit this area with
caution.
