There was a fire and explosion at the PES Girard Point Refinery on the Schuylkill River this morning

Currently the USCG has advises verbally that traffic north of the Platt Bridge is suspended

They expect traffic suspension should clear later today

 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 Low pressure passes to the north and east this morning, and this

drags a cold front through the region later today. High pressure

builds in from the north and west this weekend, and moves offshore

on Sunday. A warm front lifts north through the region Sunday night

through Monday morning. Low pressure slowly works its way through

the region during the mid-week period, then high pressure returns

late next week.

W winds around 15 kt, becoming NW this afternoon. Gusts

up to 30 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Swell mainly from the S with a

dominant period of 8 seconds.  A chance of showers early this

morning.

 

TONIGHT

NW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 3 to

4 ft until early morning, then 2 ft or less. Swell mainly from

the S with a dominant period of 7 seconds.

NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or

less. Swell mainly from the E with a dominant period of

8 seconds.
