 An area of low pressure will pass north of the region today. A cold

front will move through tonight. High pressure will gradually build

in Friday night and remain nearby through Sunday. A warm front is

expected to move through Sunday night. A frontal system will likely

affect the area Monday and Tuesday.

 DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EDT THIS MORNING

SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH

FRIDAY AFTERNOON

 

TODAY

S winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 3 to

4 ft. Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of

8 seconds.  Widespread dense fog this morning, then areas of fog

this afternoon. A chance of showers and tstms late. Vsby 1 NM or

less, increasing to 1 to 3 NM this afternoon.

 

TONIGHT

SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 25 kt, increasing to

30 kt late. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Swell mainly from the S with a

dominant period of 9 seconds.  Showers and tstms likely in the

evening. A chance of showers and tstms after midnight. Patchy

fog. Vsby 1 to 3 NM.

 

FRI

W winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming NW 20 to 25 kt in the late

morning and early afternoon, then diminishing to 15 to 20 kt

late. Gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Swell mainly from the S

with a dominant period of 7 seconds.  Patchy fog early in the

morning with vsby 1 to 3 NM.

 

FRI NIGHT

NW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas

3 to 4 ft early in the evening, then 2 ft or less, then around

3 ft after midnight. Swell mainly from the S with a dominant

period of 7 seconds.

 

SAT

NW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas around

3 ft in the morning, then 2 ft or less.

 

SAT NIGHT

NW winds 5 to 10 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt in the

evening. Seas 2 ft or less.
