 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 A slow moving front will remain across the area today and tonight.

Low pressure will move along the front across the Ohio Valley

tonight and then up into New England Thursday. A cold front will

cross the area Thursday night. High pressure will build in Friday

and remain across the region this weekend. More low pressure and its

associated fronts will move into the area for the start of next

week.

Coastal waters from Cape Henlopen to Fenwick Island DE out 20 nm-

TODAY

S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas around 3 ft early this morning,

then 2 ft or less. Swell mainly from the S with a dominant period

of 8 seconds.  Patchy fog early this morning. Showers likely with

a slight chance of tstms early this morning, then a chance of

showers late this morning and afternoon. A slight chance of tstms

this afternoon. Vsby 1 to 3 NM early this morning.

TONIGHT

S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, then around

3 ft late. Swell mainly from the S with a dominant period of

7 seconds.  Showers likely, mainly in the evening. Areas of fog

after midnight with vsby 1 to 3 NM.

THU

SW winds 5 to 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt with gusts

up to 20 kt late. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Swell mainly from the SE with a

dominant period of 7 seconds.  Areas of fog early in the morning.

A chance of showers and tstms in the afternoon. Vsby 1 to 3 NM

early in the morning.

THU NIGHT

SW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas

3 to 5 ft. Swell mainly from the S with a dominant period of

7 seconds.  Showers likely with a chance of tstms until early

morning, then a chance of showers late.

FRI

NW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to

5 ft.

FRI NIGHT

NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt in the

evening. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

SAT

NW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas around 3 ft in the morning, then

2 ft or less.

SAT NIGHT
