 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 Low pressure off the Delaware coast this morning will move

northeastward into New England by this evening. A cold front will

then move through the region tonight, with high pressure to

follow through most of the weekend. A cold front will approach the

area early next week but will likely stall in or near the

northern Mid- Atlantic for much of the week.

 SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON

 

REST OF TODAY

SE winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 30 kt,

becoming SW with gusts up to 20 kt this afternoon. Seas 4 to

6 ft. Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of

7 seconds.  Rain late this morning, then a chance of showers

early this afternoon. A slight chance of showers late. Vsby 1 to

3 NM late this morning.

 

TONIGHT

SW winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming W 15 to 20 kt late.

Gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Swell mainly from the SE with

a dominant period of 7 seconds.

 

FRI

W winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to

5 ft. Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of

8 seconds.

 

FRI NIGHT

W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt,

diminishing to 5 to 10 kt late. Seas around 3 ft early in the

evening, then 2 ft or less, then around 3 ft after midnight.

Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of 8 seconds.

SW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S 15 to 20 kt in the

afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
