The Maritime Exchange is forwarding the following dredging information from the U.S. Coast for your information:

MSIB 44-18 Dredge New York Hydraulic Hammer Operations

Beginning November 8, 2018 and continuing through approximately November 30, 2018, the dredge NEW YORK will be conducting hydraulic hammer operations in and around Marcus Hook Range. Operations will take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Vessels wishing to transit in the vicinity of the dredge NEW YORK should contact the dredge at least 1 hour prior to arrival, and again 30 minutes prior to arrival in order to arrange safe passage. The dredge can be contacted via VHF-FM Channel 13 or 16.

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 Low pressure will move through Great Lakes today, dragging a cold

front through the region this afternoon into this evening. Low

pressure will remain to the north of our area through mid week.

High pressure will build in Thursday into early Friday before a

weak low could affect the area by late Friday. A stronger low

could affect the area by next Sunday.

 GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON EST TODAY THROUGH TUESDAY

MORNING

TODAY

SE winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, increasing

to 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Swell

mainly from the SE with a dominant period of 9 seconds.  A slight

chance of rain early this morning, then rain late this morning

and afternoon.

TONIGHT

W winds 15 to 20 kt, increasing to 20 to 25 kt in the

late evening and overnight. Gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of 8 seconds.  A

chance of rain early in the evening.

TUE

W winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt, diminishing to

15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt late. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Swell

mainly from the W with a dominant period of 6 seconds.

TUE NIGHT

W winds 15 to 20 kt, increasing to 20 to 25 kt in

the late evening and overnight. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 3 to

5 ft. Swell mainly from the NW with a dominant period of

4 seconds.

WED

NW winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt. Seas 3 to

5 ft.

WED NIGHT

NW winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt. Seas

4 to 6 ft.

THU

NW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
