 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 High pressure will build over the Middle Atlantic region later

today, before shifting into New England tonight and Friday. Low

pressure will then track near the eastern Great Lakes Friday

while another low develops near the Mid-Atlantic coast. Both of

these lows will then track northeastward and away from our area

Friday night. High pressure will build in during Sunday before

shifting offshore Monday. The next storm system arrives Monday

night and Tuesday, then high pressure builds well to our

southwest during Wednesday.

 SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH

LATE FRIDAY NIGHT

TODAY

N winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, diminishing

to 5 to 10 kt this afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Swell mainly from

the SE with a dominant period of 8 seconds.

TONIGHT

N winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming NE 15 to 20 kt with gusts

up to 25 kt. Seas around 3 ft early in the evening, then 2 ft or

less, then 3 to 4 ft in the late evening and overnight. Swell

mainly from the E with a dominant period of 9 seconds.  A chance

of rain late.

FRI

SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

Swell mainly from the E with a dominant period of 8 seconds.

Rain.

FRI NIGHT

S winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming SW with gusts up to

20 kt late in the evening, then becoming W 15 to 20 kt with gusts

up to 30 kt after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Swell mainly from the

SE with a dominant period of 9 seconds.  Rain until early

morning, then a chance of showers late.

SAT

NW winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 4 to

6 ft.

SAT NIGHT

NW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas

4 to 6 ft.

SUN

NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

SUN NIGHT

N winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming NE after midnight. Seas

2 ft or less.

MON

E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. A chance of rain in

the afternoon.
