 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 A warm front will lift north across the area this morning, followed

by a strong cold front this afternoon. High pressure will build

across the region for Wednesday and Thursday. A low pressure system

and associated frontal boundaries will move through the area Friday

night into Saturday. High pressure will then return for the weekend

and into early next week.

 SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT

TODAY

SE winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, increasing

to 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt late this morning, then

increasing to 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt early this

afternoon, becoming SW 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt late.

Seas 4 to 6 ft. Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period

of 7 seconds.  Areas of fog this morning. Areas of drizzle this

morning. Showers. Scattered tstms this afternoon. Vsby 1 to 3 NM.

TONIGHT

W winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to

5 ft. Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of

7 seconds. Showers likely early in the evening.

WED

NW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, becoming W

5 to 10 kt in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Swell mainly from

the SE with a dominant period of 8 seconds.

WED NIGHT

W winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming NW 10 to 15 kt with

gusts up to 20 kt late. Seas around 3 ft. Swell mainly from the

SE with a dominant period of 9 seconds.
