 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 A cold front will slowly cross our area tonight and early Saturday

as low pressure tracks along it. High pressure will then build in

Saturday night and Sunday before shifting to near the Canadian

Maritimes by Monday morning. As low pressure tracks well to our west

early next week, a warm front arrives Monday then a cold front will

move through Tuesday night and Wednesday. High pressure will build

into our region Thursday.

GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY

S winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 4 to

7 ft. Swell mainly from the S with a dominant period of

7 seconds.  Showers likely. Isolated tstms this afternoon.

TONIGHT

SW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 4 to

7 ft. Swell mainly from the S with a dominant period of

7 seconds.  Rain until early morning, then showers late.

SAT

W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt, increasing to

20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Swell mainly

from the SE with a dominant period of 9 seconds.  Showers likely

early in the morning, then scattered showers late in the morning.

SAT NIGHT

NW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt,

diminishing to 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt in the late

evening and early morning, then becoming N 5 to 10 kt late. Seas

3 to 5 ft. Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of

10 seconds.

NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas around 3 ft.

SUN NIGHT

E winds 5 to 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt with

gusts up to 25 kt after midnight. Seas 3 to 4 ft, building to

4 to 6 ft after midnight. Rain likely after midnight.

E winds 15 to 20 kt, diminishing to 10 to 15 kt in the

afternoon. Seas 4 to 7 ft. Rain likely.

SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Rain likely,

mainly in the evening.

S winds 5 to 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt in the

afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
