High pressure near the Carolina coast will drift offshore today.
A cold front will approach the region very slowly from the
northwest on Thursday and Friday as a strong surface low moves
northeastward along it. As the low moves into the Saint Lawrence
Valley Friday night and Saturday, the cold front will progress
through the area. High pressure builds into the Northeast on
Sunday before progressing rapidly northeastward on Monday. A
weak surface low and attendant warm front will lift northward
into the Mid- Atlantic Monday night and Tuesday.
