The Captain of the Port, Delaware Bay, issued MSIB 34-18 (Update 1) notifying mariners of two objects reported just outside the main navigational channel of the Mifflin Range, within the boundaries of Mantua Creek Anchorage #9 on the Delaware River.

Mariners are advised to use extreme caution when transiting this portion of Mantua Creek Anchorage as some depths at mean low low water could be hazardous to navigation. Vessels drafting over 30 feet should avoid this area and transit around the objects.

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 High pressure will build from the Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic

region through Friday night. Low pressure will then track to our

north over southern Canada, dragging a cold front across our

region Saturday. High pressure will then build into the area for

the start of next week.

REST OF TODAY

NW winds 15 to 20 kt. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas

3 to 6 ft. Swell mainly from the NW with a dominant period of

4 seconds.

 

TONIGHT

NW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to

4 ft until early morning, then 2 ft or less. Swell mainly from

the N with a dominant period of 5 seconds.

 

FRI

W winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming SW 10 to 15 kt with gusts up

to 20 kt late. Seas 2 ft or less, then around 3 ft late. Swell

mainly from the SE with a dominant period of 10 seconds.

 

FRI NIGHT

SW winds 15 to 20 kt, increasing to 20 to 25 kt

after midnight. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Swell mainly

from the SE with a dominant period of 9 seconds.  A chance of

showers after midnight.

 

SAT

W winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 3 to

5 ft. A chance of showers.

 

SAT NIGHT

W winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming NW 20 to 25 kt after

midnight. Gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. A chance of showers

in the evening.

 

SUN

NW winds 25 to 30 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

 

SUN NIGHT

NW winds 20 to 25 kt, diminishing to 15 to 20 kt

after midnight. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

NW winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to 5 to 10 kt in the

afternoon. Seas around 3 ft.
