 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 A surface trough will remain across the east coast at times

through Friday, while a back door cold front remains north of

the area today and tonight. A cold front will move across the

east coast on Saturday and stalls to our south Sunday into

Monday as high pressure builds across New England. This front

will return north as a warm front Tuesday into Tuesday night,

before another cold front moves across the area Wednesday.

Coastal waters from Cape Henlopen to Fenwick Island DE out 20 nm-

SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Swell

mainly from the SE with a dominant period of 9 seconds.

 

TONIGHT

SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Swell mainly

from the SE with a dominant period of 9 seconds.

 

FRI

SW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S 10 to 15 kt with gusts up

to 25 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less, then around 3 ft

late. Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of

8 seconds.  A chance of showers and tstms in the afternoon with

vsby 1 to 3 NM.

 

FRI NIGHT

SW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas

3 to 4 ft. Swell mainly from the SE with a dominant period of

8 seconds.  Showers and tstms likely until early morning, then a

chance of showers and tstms late. Vsby 1 to 3 NM until early

morning.

SW winds 5 to 10 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas around

3 ft. A chance of showers and tstms.
