Notifications – On or about August 25, 2017, Norfolk Dredging Company`s Dredge Essex will commence deepening work in the lower end of Marcus Hook anchorage. The USCG will soon be issuing a MSIB with accompanying safety zone, which will limit Marcus Hook Anchorage to two ships at time, under Sector Command Center management typical to other Marcus Hook dredging projects.

 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS FROM SANDY HOOK NJ TO FENWICK

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...

 High pressure centered over the coastal Mid Atlantic early this

morning will begin to move offshore today. The high will shift

farther out to sea on Tuesday while a cold front approaches from the

Midwest. The cold front is expected to move through the region early

Wednesday before possibly stalling nearby to our south Wednesday

afternoon and evening. Canadian high pressure building into the

region on Thursday will continue to influence our weather through

the upcoming weekend.

NW winds around 5 kt, becoming SE with gusts up to 15 kt

late this morning and early afternoon, then becoming S 10 to

15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt late. Seas 2 ft or less. Mainly in

SE swell with a dominant period of 8 seconds.  Patchy fog early

this morning with vsby 1 to 3 NM.

TONIGHT

S winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft

or less. Mainly in SE swell with a dominant period of 10 seconds.

A chance of showers late.

TUE

SW winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming S 15 to 20 kt in the

afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Mainly in SE swell with a dominant

period of 12 seconds.  A chance of showers early in the morning.

TUE NIGHT

S winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming SW 10 to 15 kt late.

Seas 3 to 5 ft. Mainly in S swell with a dominant period of

9 seconds.  A chance of showers late.

W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 3 to
