USCG: DREDGING IN MARCUS HOOK ANCHORAGE AREA HAVE BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL APPX NOV. 15, 2002. NOTIFICATION OF RESTRICTIONS ON UPRIVER ANCHORAGES:
DREDGING OPERATIONS IN MARCUS HOOK ANCHORAGE FROM OCT 12, 2002 THROUGH NOV. 15, 2002 WILL CAUSE VESSEL TRAFFIC TO BE DIVERTED TO OTHER ANCHORAGES
VESSELS THAT WISH TO ANCHOR IN ANCHORAGE 7--MARCUS HOOK,ANCHORAGE 9-- MANTUA CREEK AND ANCHORAGE 6 DEEPWATER POINT, MUST RESERVE SPACE AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. PERMISSION TO ANCHOR WILL BE GRANTED ON FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.
ANCHORAGE 7--MARCUS HOOK: ALL VESSELS MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION TO ANCHOR AT LEAST 24 HRS IN ADVANCE. VESSELS NOT PERMITED TO OCCUPY THE ANCHORAGE FOR MORE THAN 12 HRS. ONLY TWO VESSELS AT A TIME PERMITTED AT ANCHORAGE
ANCHORAGE 9 AND 6: ALL VESSELS SHALL OBTAIN PERMISSION AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE VSLS 700-750&aps& IN LENGTH SHALL HAVE ONE TUG ALONGSIDE AT ALL TIMES WHILE AT ANCHORAGE. VSL GREATER THAN 750 FT SHALL HAVE TWO TUGS ALONGSIDE AT ALL TIMES.
